Monks of the Hungarian Benedictine Congregation live not merely in Pannonhalma but also in other settlements of the country. What's more, even the Saint Gellért Abbey in Sâo Paolo, established by monks of Pannonhalma, comes under the Hungarian Benedictine Congregation.

The life of the individual houses is built upon the very same principles, but each community enjoys considerable freedom in realising the values of the Rule of Saint Benedict in their own specific circumstances.
