From the end of the Communist regime on there are two parallel systems of education in operation in the Secondary Boarding School of Pannonhalma: a four-year one and a six-year one. Both of them accept applications from would-be students.

In 1995 the building of the school was entirely renovated bearing in mind that the students of the secondary school are also members of the boarding school, so they are together not only in the morning classes but the whole day as well.

It is still an all-boy school. Students come from all regions of the country and sometimes even from across the border.
