Dear Visitors,

From the year of 2009, the Archabbey of Pannonhalma is going to improve its touristic attraction. The environment of the World Heritage site will be further developed and reconstructed. The next stage of the project includes the improvement of the infrastructure (parking area for cars and bicycles, expansion of gastronomic services) and of the natural environment. In addition, we are planning to establish a herb garden and an 'open workshop' and to build a youth hostel and 'pilgrims' house. These works will be started at the beginning of January, 2009. We hope that the visit to the Abbey will be without any difficulties and troubles during the reconstructions and the renovations.
The elaboration of the temporary actions is in progress and as soon as the final decisions are taken we will send detailed information to our partners and we will share the latest news on our homepage as well.
